Welcome To Rescue Foodie!
Hi Everyone! 👋
Rescue Foodie is ramping up for our final trip north before the snow! A local school in a remote community we work with has reached out for help with making sure their students have a happy Christmas. We need your help.
We are raising funds to purchase and accepting donations of NEW toys for Christmas gifts for children. We would like to stress, we are looking for NEW and fairly light items only (we must fly the items in).
We will be accepting donations at our warehouse 322 Horner Road in Etobicoke, south side of building at the roll up door on Tuesday October 9th between 5pm – 7pm and Wednesday October 17th between 5pm – 7pm. Below are the ages of children in the school. We are not accepting clothing (we delivered winter clothing into community last in the spring). We are also accepting donations for our Northern dogs during this time, the list of needed items is also below.
You can make a donation here by clicking on the Donate tab. To ensure your contribution goes directly to this initiative add a note to your order at checkout. You will receive a tax receipt for any donation over $25.
10 students in JK/Sk
14 students in the 1-4 class.
12 students in the 5/6/7/8 class.
7 children in the daycare in the building this year that is run by the Health department.
Items Needed For Northern Dogs
Outdoor dog houses – Hard plastic, NOT constructed, still in the box.
Martingale collars – size medium
Burlap sacks (make great winter blankets for dogs)
Large hamster water bottles (we attach these to the crates during transport)
Our organization is a registered charity supporting animal rescues, shelters, sanctuaries and foster organizations in the form of donated cat and dog food. We work with multiple donors to maintain a consistent supply of food!
"Our goal is to empower rescues, continuing their loving work without concern for cost of food"
We work with rescues, shelters and fosters of all sizes and make it easy to work with us. Through our volunteer network, we'll work with you to arrange shipping requirements or pickups from our Etobicoke warehouse.
