Puppies Everywhere! June Northern Collaboration Trip

Puppies Everywhere! June Northern Collaboration Trip

The spring brought with it...sadly...many new litters in the North.  Rescue Foodie was proud to partner with it's friends Northern Critters In Need and the Toronto Humane Society on this June trip to rescue and transport dogs and cats back to Toronto.  We delivered 2170 lbs of pet food into remote communities with the incredible support from our friends at North Star Air.  18 animals were safely flown out and brought into THS's care.  An additional 16 animals were rescued with NCIN and brought into Etobicoke and Alliston Humane Societies and Furever Family Rescue's care.  Visit these beautiful guys and...

Remote Indigenous Community Support - We Need Your Help!

We Need Your Help! We are sending much needed supplies to remote indigenous communities.  We need your help in the form of gently used clothing & donations to raise funds for school supplies. During our last visit to a remote community in September 2017, we had the pleasure of meeting the local school community and saw an additional opportunity to provide support through in-kind donations including shoes, winter clothes and school supplies.  On May 4-6 2018, the Rescue Foodie team is embarking on a trip to remote  communities, flying in much needed animal supplies.  Our goal is to further these efforts...

How Much Do We Love Our Volunteers!!

Lorence Triplett was introduced to us at Rescue Foodie by Meghan McDonnell.  Lorence planned a trip to Saskatoon for the holidays and volunteered to take much needed supplies to our Northern friends at Northern Critters in Need.  Not only did he fill every nook of his car with food and supplies, Lorence volunteered to return to Toronto with a pup....well, a 80lb pup!  We are so grateful for volunteers like Lorence, it is of course difficult for us to reach supplies up North in the winter, a time when it is needed most.  This beautiful boy, Perseus is now safe and warm.  He will be cared for...

Thank you Denise Thurston & Team!!

In October 2017, the wonderful team at 2010 Islington Ave organized by Denise Thurston held a craft show benefitting 3 charities.  Rescue Foodie was honored to be one of those charities.  Derek and Melissa attended the show, who also left with quite a few purchases! They came away with a real sense of community. So many volunteers came together to organize and contribute to the wonderful causes they all support. On behalf of all of us at Rescue Foodie, thank you for your generous donation!
